MANAGER'S RESPONSIBILITIES - Updated: March 31, 2021

LEAGUE STATEMENT
The listing below is designed to help managers understand and be reminded of their responsibilities. This list is not meant to represent everything that is required, but is designed as a basic guide to help each manager understand his duties and obligations to the league and his team.  

At all times, the manager of a team is ultimately responsible for all his team's activities regarding the SoCAL MSBL/MABL and all of its affiliates.

1. To uphold and enforce the league rules and preamble at all times when representing your team.

2. To keep all team members informed of the league activities and to help in promoting those

    activities to your team members.

3. To inform league officers of behavior or activities that may be detrimental to the league.

4. To supply the league with all required information by the date required:
    a) Complete team roster containing each player's full name, address, home and work phone

        numbers, date of birth and positions played.
    b) A completed player contract and waiver form, signed by the player.
    c) Game statistics for each scheduled game.
    d) Any other information requested by the league office.

5. To collect and/or verify that all team and player fees have been turned into the league office

    within required timeframe.

6. To conduct all league activities with the highest degree of standards and ethics.

7. To encourage your team members to help with and participate in league functions, other than

    playing baseball. (i.e. fund-raisers, attending championship and all-star games, league member

    and awards meetings).

8. To make sure your team always leaves the field in better condition than it was when they

    arrived.

9. To verify the eligibility of all team players, (age, pro experience), using best available

    information.  Simply put, if you have any doubt, contact your division representative or league

    president immediately. Any manager who is found to knowingly allow an ineligible player to

    participate in any MSBL/MABL sanctioned activity or event will be subject to a minimum two-

    year suspension and possible permanent removal from the league. The suspension will begin

    immediately upon discovery of the infraction.
