BOARD OF DIRECTORS - Updated: February 17, 2019

 

PRESIDENT
To oversee all activities of the league and to conduct the day to day operations of the league. To work within the league budget, and with the league treasurer, in meeting the league financial responsibilities. To keep the Board of Directors and league members informed of national issues that concern the local league. To chair monthly board meetings, to deal with issues concerning the league. To hold an annual members' meeting prior to the start of the next season. To keep board members informed of items that would not otherwise be common knowledge to the league. To maintain the highest standard of ethics in conducting league activities. To operate within the league's rules and bylaws. To oversee the rules and disciplinary committees. To take appropriate action in matters detrimental to the league and its members and inform board members of such actions. To maintain a record of league members and their player contracts and agreements.

SECRETARY
To record minutes of all meeting and keeps record of all rules and policies passed by the league. To keep a record of correspondence between the league office and its members. To handle correspondence between the league and outside government agencies. To keep managers and players informed of rule changes.

TREASURER
To maintain an accurate accounting of league income and expenditures. To give a financial report at each board meeting and an overall financial report at the league's annual meeting in October. To work with the League President in fulfilling the league's financial responsibilities. To report financial discrepancies to the League President and the Board of Directors. To inform the League President or Secretary of any expenditure over $500.00 prior to disbursement of funds. To present the board with a preliminary budget based on previous years' expenditures for the upcoming season prior to the start of the season.

APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENTS
To fulfill assigned duties and appear as necessary at monthly board meetings to give a report on activities and achievements for assigned duties.

OPEN BOARD MEMBER
To oversee duties that have not been assigned to others and assume any responsibility the board deems necessary. To help league officers in completing assigned tasks. In general, to act as extra help where needed and called upon by other members of the Board of Directors or its officers.

DIVISION REP
To represent the teams' and players' interest within their assigned division. To act as the contact for information for their assigned division. To inform opposite division members or teams of disciplinary decisions handed down by the rules and disciplinary committee. To assist in the assessment of the competitive level of teams in their assigned division. To aid in the placement of teams for the upcoming season.
