1. Teams using ineligible players, not 25, 35, 45 years or older (MSBL) or not 18 years or older (MABL) or out of pro baseball per league guidelines, shall forfeit all games played in which an ineligible player was used. NO APPEAL WILL BE ALLOWED ON THIS INFRACTION 2. UNSPORTSMAN LIKE CONDUCT - If any local members conduct is not in the best interest of the MSBL/MABL of So Cal, that member or team may be subject to fine, suspension, and/or expulsion from the league as deemed necessary by the League President or governing body appointed by the league president. For serious offences, the president must notify the Board of Directors of such conduct. A majority vote by the Board of Directors is required to overturn any decision handed down by the League President for actions taken due to serious violation. Members may also be subject to exclusion from post-season play, including participation in the MSBL/MABL World Series. 3. Any player, coach, manager, bat boy, or team affiliate that is ejected from a game will receive an automatic one game suspension or a $25 fine as determined by the league president. This is in addition to any other suspension and/or fine for their actions 4. Any player, coach, manager, team affiliate or umpire that takes part in any aggressive physical contact (such as pushing or shoving) shall receive no less than a six (6) game suspension and may be subject to further suspension or expulsion from the league. Additional sanctions will be invoked depending on the involvement and intensity of the contact. If a punch is thrown, the suspension is indefinite. NO APPEAL WILL BE ALLOWED. A. Anyone violating Article 4 shall automatically receive a one (1) year probation (not subject to appeal). If Article 4 is violated a second time, the individual in question shall be expelled from the local league. Anyone under investigation for harmful physical contact will not be allowed to participate in any league-sanctioned activity until the matter is resolved. 5. Any player, coach, or manager found to have engaged in unethical recruiting practices or tampering with a player under contract to another team, without express written consent form the player's manager, shall be subject to dismissal as a manager from their team and may be subject to a fine and/or suspension from the league. 6. Any manager who fails to comply with league requests and/or responsibilities shall be subject to removal as team manager. 7. Any player, coach, manager or team affiliate who engages in abusive behavior towards other players, umpires, spectators or league officers shall be suspended for no less than three (3) games. If the player continues in abusive behavior after the suspension, that player shall be subject to expulsion from the league. 8. Any player using illegal equipment shall be subject to a three (3) game suspension. 9. Any player who fails to conform to the league preamble after being warned by the League President shall be subject to removal from the league. 10. Any manager who fails to conform to the league preamble, after being warned by the League President, shall be subject to removal as team manager. 11. Any team that fails to conform to the league preamble, after being warned by the League President, shall be subject to removal from the league. 12. Any player, coach or manager who causes his team to forfeit a game through his actions is subject to paying the appropriate team fine before he is allowed to return to the team. The manager is ultimately responsible for the fine in accordance with Rule #21. 13. In the event any player, coach, manager or team violates the spirit of competition, (i.e. tries to gain an unfair advantage over their opponents) the league president reserves the right to take whatever steps are deemed necessary to bring equality back to a team or the league. 14. Any team found to be in violation of the "Field Conduct" rules is subject to a $100.00 fine for the first violation. Additional violations may result in the team being removed form the schedule. Additionally, any team which puts the use of a field in jeopardy will be subject to additional sanctions and or suspension from the league. 15. This is an amateur league, therefore no member of the MSBL/MABL of So Cal shall receive compensation, monetary or otherwise, for participation in any sanctioned MSBL/MABL game. 16. Any league member that makes physical contact with a league officer (umpire, League President, Board member, or appointed League Officer) that is other than casual, friendly contact shall immediately be suspended and required to appear at the next regularly scheduled board meeting. |
