MABL Orange County Bulls stole the lead late in the game in an 11-6 victory over MABL Cubs on Sunday.  The game was tied at six with MABL Orange County Bulls batting in the bottom of the eighth when Marty Farmer doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

 

There was plenty of action on the basepaths as MABL Orange County Bulls collected 13 hits and MABL Cubs had 11.

 

MABL Cubs got things moving in the first inning, when Mike Chairez singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

 

In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Orange County Bulls tied things up at six.  Easton Friedling drove in one when he doubled.

 

Damian Munoz got the win for Orange County Bulls. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out five and walking one.

 

Danny Doyer toed the rubber for MABL Cubs. He lasted four innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out seven and walking one. 

 

 Cody Shackelford started the game for Orange County Bulls. He allowed eight hits and four runs over five innings, striking out four

 

Orange County Bulls collected 13 hits on the day.  Brandon Grimmett, Brenton Baskin, and Farmer all collected multiple hits for MABL Orange County Bulls.  Grimmett went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Orange County Bulls in hits. This win put the Bulls at 1-1 on the season, with a big double hearder set next week.
